Job Title: Payroll Technician

We are currently looking for a Payroll Technician to join the payroll team on a permanent basis in Alderley Edge.
As Payroll Technician, you will support the team in ensuring payments are made accurately and on time to all employees. You will also support colleagues with queries providing comprehensive replies that demonstrate an understanding of all aspects of pay and deductions.
About the role
-Ensure that payroll input is processed on time and accurately, and employees pay is correct.
-Assist with the checking of all input and changes processed by the team.
-Check authorisations meet company directives.
-Resolve queries raised by employees through tickets or telephone in a timely manner, adhering to our SLAs.
-Ensure all leave schemes are administered in accordance with RL's policy and statutory requirements.
-Ensure processes are followed and suggest any changes to processes and discuss with the team.
-Assist Payroll Manager and Senior Payroll Technicians with tasks where needed.
About you
-Demonstrable previous experience within payroll.
-Good understanding of payroll legislation.
-Good level of PC literacy, particularly with computerised payroll systems e.g. SuccessFactors.
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Attention to detail.
-High level of accuracy.
