Position Summary: The Account Director/Senior Account Director (Communications) role will report directly into the Agency Director and work in partnership with the Director, Publicity to combine best-in-class client management practices with public relations excellence. This role will play a key part in driving the continued growth of the agency’s brand clients, with a focus on Communications and Content, alongside the development of a complementary Influencer Marketing offering. This role requires extensive agency experience and an excellent understanding of sports marketing. The individual will be responsible for building and managing a team so will need to be confidently evidence their leadership qualities. Applicants should be communications experts with a proven track record of delivering impactful campaigns for major B2C and B2B brands. III. Essential Functions · Reporting to Agency Director with responsibility for driving the day-to-day operations and processes of the Communications team; across all brand and rights holder clients · Supporting the design and implementation of best-in-class internal processes and operations to support efficiency and excellence in client service · Combining an in-depth understanding of the editorial landscape with exceptional media relations skills and a transferable network of media contacts · Building a new Influencer Marketing offering within the Communications team, through the upskilling of the team and the acquisition of best-fit talent and tools · Assisting business development (client growth and acquisition) through proactive networking and the ability to create proposals with strategic and creative standout · Playing a key leadership role in the management, mentoring and upskilling of the wider team IV. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification). Minimum of 5 years relevant agency experience across PR and Communications Specific experience of leading sport campaigns and partnerships for major B2C and B2B brands Deep knowledge and experience of working with talent and rights holders Strong, and demonstrable, track record of client retention and growth In-depth knowledge of the influencer marketing landscape V. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Exceptional understanding of how to build a client relationship and understand their business needs Proven ability to manage a high volume of client-service deliverables through critical path planning and resource management to maintain high quality output Natural communication skills to inspire and nurture a team whilst maintaining agency culture Proven strategic and creative capabilities with excellent writing skills to support the development of plans, proposals and toolkits Strong understanding of digital landscape, social strategy and platform Creatively curious with an instinct for developing ideas that resonate with channel and audience Organised and detail oriented in a fast-paced, client service environment Commitment and inquisitiveness to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills VIII.
