We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Digital Technology & Change team in our Solihull office on a hybrid basis. As a key team member, you will play a vital role in shaping and implementing the nPower Business Solutions (nBS) strategy to improve the digital experience for customers and colleagues. Join us as we transition towards a Product-led DevOps model and help expand our operational capabilities. nBS is the E.ON Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector of E.ON, a market leader in energy retail, with a revenue of £7 billion serving around 30,000 customers and approximately 250,000 meter points, aiming to be the top B2B energy supplier in the UK. As part of the Data Team at E.ON, you will work closely with the Head of Data to develop our Data Science strategy and collaborate with business teams to identify and execute data science use cases. Your responsibilities include enhancing machine learning methods, creating predictive models for customer behavior and energy consumption, and extracting insights from trading data.

1. Conduct in-depth analysis of customer behavior and portfolio.
2. Prepare data meticulously for modeling and analysis.
3. Collaborate with business and data owners to identify data science opportunities.
4. Interpret and present analytical findings effectively.
5. Engage stakeholders in automating data delivery.
6. Inspire the business with new data management capabilities.
7. Enhance internal data solutions and productivity across the organization.
What we need from you
1. Forward-thinking with a focus on scalability and future opportunities.
2. Proficiency in data handling and analysis.
3. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
4. Minimum of five years of experience in data analysis or machine learning.
5. Knowledge of statistical methods and tools like SQL, Python, or R.
6. Experience in the energy sector is preferred.
7. Familiarity with statistical data evaluation tools such as SAS, Jupyter, etc.
