ROLE SUMMARY
At ENSEK, our Product Delivery Managers are recognised for knowing their stuff and ensuring that we get stuff done.
Whether that is having a good understanding of how we deliver Software or across a range of product disciplines responsible for maintaining the end-to-end view of the ENSEK Product Portfolio delivery and how this is leveraged to achieve the needs of your area. By understanding your initiatives, you will be able to demonstrate how its requirements are met by the product and the timescales that need to be achieved to meet these.
The Product Delivery Manager will understand the key objectives that need to be achieved, and how this is served by the portfolio. You will work with the Tribe Product Managers to understand and shape their roadmap and prioritise features that serve your initiatives.
You will provide detailed direction and support to Product Managers and Product Owners that are responsible for delivering value aligned to your initiatives. You will work with the Engineering Managers to understand progress of any feature delivery to meet the agreed requirements.
Your ownership and passion for delivery, teamwork and communication will help you be extremely effective in shaping and driving great outcomes for our customers and the capabilities of our platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Working in partnership with Professional Services to manage the relationship with our clients, providing the single point of contact for issues and technical requests.
2. Support our clients to meet their business objectives, working directly with the project and client to drive a product-aligned backlog of work (Product Roadmap)
3. Summarising and articulating the client needs, shaping their requirements and solutions towards existing platform capability, or working with Head of Product Domain colleagues to influence the direction of solutions.
4. Understanding and managing the required dependencies between each of the product initiatives and surfacing this with PMO (Project Management Office).
5. Working in collaboration with Product Engineering teams during the Discovery phase of the Software Delivery Life Cycle to ensure they are engaged at the right point of defining an initiative.
6. Ensuring the objectives, commercial value and investment of each initiative is agreed.
7. Ensuring clarity and focus on the key results or desired outcomes of each initiative and any associated KPI’s and ensuring the acceptance criteria has been agreed.
8. Working with Engineering to ensure that we have sized the effort for the work and identify any technology implications.
9. Create an open approachable and visible team environment which engages across ENSEK so that we continuously monitor progress against the initiatives to ensure the delivery of the Product initiatives.
10. Define the customer experience, reviewing and improving the Product initiatives to ensure ENSEK enhances the customer journey.
11. Proactively facilitate stakeholder reviews on the Product Roadmap and or backlog of initiatives
12. Providing support, coaching and direction to colleagues and other stakeholders as required
13. Adding value to the experience of our clients, colleagues and other relevant stakeholders through practicing and promoting the ENSEK values and our Standards.
14. Create and maintain a high performing team culture, promoting and maintaining a positive, results orientated work environment, building partnerships and teamwork across ENSEK with colleagues feeling empowered and think creatively to resolve issues.
SOFT SKILLS
1. Excellent communicator with the ability to influence others. Must be able to collaborate with others and have excellent presentation skills.
2. Values the importance of teamwork, with experience of working in a remote team being advantageous
3. Previous experience in client delivery or product management related role, working in and collaborating with multi-disciplined teams on product initiatives.
4. Experience in managing and delivering projects collaborating with technical and product stakeholders, prioritising to ensure alignment and delivery of product initiatives.
5. A problem solver who is able to think critically and facilitate timely decisions.
6. Client focused approach, utilising knowledge, and experience, demonstrating outstanding levels of diplomacy and tact.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
1. Strong project management skills with a flexible attitude and who is able to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
2. Mentor / coach others.
3. Proven ability to engage with and develop strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
4. Experience of working as a delivery lead is essential. Experience of working in an agile environment and from within the Energy/Utilities would be highly advantageous.
