Teaching Personnel are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Gorton to find a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment where your skills and contributions will have a direct impact on the success of students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a variety of subjects.
* Assist in adapting learning materials and strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
* Support students in their social and emotional development, helping them to build confidence and resilience.
* Work closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff to monitor and track student progress.
* Help create an inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and personal development of all students.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with students with SEN in a school or educational setting (desirable).
* A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A commitment to promoting inclusive education and enhancing the learning experience for all students.
Qualifications:
* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
* Experience with a range of SEN (including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, physical disabilities, etc.) is beneficial.
