Job Description
I am looking for a talented Logistics Manager (Goods In/Dispatch) for my client. My client is a large multi-site food manufacturing business who are continually expanding.
Main Responsibilities:
Maximise team performance, efficiency and service levels through effective line management of our Goods In and Despatch department.
Management of stock levels ensuring sufficient supply for production.
Resolving complaints and issues regarding the supply chain.
Liaising with transport department to ensure timely processing of products.
Working with procurement department and customers on production schedules.
Planning and overseeing incoming and outgoing deliveries.
Manage all specific cold store risks.
Ensure full stock accountability and OTIF customer service to budget.
Minimise vehicle delay and downtime.
Ensure strict adherence to all company and legislative requirements particularly encouraging safe and hygienic practices.
Develop and retain team members, driving employee engagement.
Develop enhanced and future fit employee skillset.
Support trainee development to ensure the ‘next generation’ workforce.
Skills required:
Results driven
Experienced in effectively managing people
Attentive to detail with good strategic ability
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Experienced in food distribution at a senior level
Powerful facilitator and motivator
Flexible, adaptable and keen to support others’ development
Strong team manager
Accreditation Food Hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2
Salary: dependant on experience
