This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with Occupational Health or Practice Nurse experience to join an established in-house Nurse led Occupational Health Service at Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated (Band 5) Nurse who can demonstrate relevant experience within similar roles and can work within a multidisciplinary team to provide advice and support to Trust staff and managers.
The successful candidate will have opportunities for additional training and development to undertake the full remit of the post.
The Staff Health & Wellbeing Services at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust includes Occupational Health, Wellbeing, Mediation, Physiotherapy, Counselling and Psychological Services.
This role will be based at Rampton Hospital and the post holder will also be required to work flexibly between other Trust sites to meet service requirements.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will carry out a varied role, including immunisation assessments / clinics, venepuncture, pre-employment fitness assessment, advice to staff and managers, risk assessment-based health surveillance programmes, and blood exposure incident support and advice.
Possess the clinical skills needed to undertake activities including - venepuncture, spirometry, skin surveillance, immunisations and other specialist screening procedures for the protection of staff health.
Maintain clinical practice and registration in accordance with NMC code. Be responsible for updating own professional knowledge in Occupational Health, including identifying and addressing professional needs.
