The Multi-Skilled Production Maintenance Engineer Programme:
As part of your apprenticeship, you will complete:
Year 1: You will spend time at a private local engineering training provider where the relevant qualification units will be delivered and assessed
Year 2-3: Will be delivered and assessed within Safran where you will be required to achieve a Level 3 Diploma. To support individual Development Plans, all apprentices will spend allocated time to work in different departments according to each training needs
What will I be doing?
•To install, maintain and test electrical and mechanical equipment and appliance under stringent safety regulations
•To carry out diagnostic, repair and preventative planned maintenance tasks to plant, equipment and electrical systems in industrial establishments to ensure their continued efficient operation
•Plan, design and work to technical plans and drawings
•To identify faults and administer repairs to faulty electrical and Mechanical equipment
•To estimate, plan and acquire what is required in order to maintain machinery
•To provide technical assistance to all maintenance staff and engineers engaged in research, development, design and application
•To ensure that safekeeping of tools, plant and equipment
•Make adjustments to ensure optimal efficiency of the machines
•Actively support CarlSource system for Work Orders, Inventory control, Predictive Maintenance & Planned Maintenance
•To be committed to the provision of a high quality service
•To comply with all Health & Safety and security procedures and guidelines
•Identify areas for improvement and participating in continuous improvement activities

You will have a keen interest in science and engineering and be able to demonstrate a methodical and thorough approach to work.
You will possess excellent problem solving abilities.
The role of apprentice will require you to be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will be a motivated, hardworking individual with excellent planning and organisational skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own will be key to your success.
Successful candidates will need to have achieved, or expect to achieve at least 5 GCSE's - including Math and English - Grade A-C or 5-9, Science and a technology.
