Responsibilities Day to day management of the survey department Allocate personnel resources to achieve project obligations. Direct and manage the project work and resources of the department. Ensure that the appropriate procedures and RAMS are developed to meet the department obligations and to comply with all relevant statutory and other regulations. Establish and maintain effective monitoring to ensure that the department is providing the appropriate quality of service agreed with the customer. Monitor the budget to ensure that budget targets are met. Direct the implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure that the department complies with all health and safety and other statutory regulations. Conduct employee appraisals and maintain discipline within the department. SUBCOM’S CORE VALUES Quality - Accountability - Teamwork - Innovation A higher education degree in offshore surveying (ideally IHO Cat-A accredited) or related science-based subject. Sound knowledge and understanding of a variety of survey equipment, including Kongsberg, NORBIT multibeam systems, positioning systems and USBL systems. Knowledge of survey software for acquisition and processing, including QPS QINSy, Kongsberg SIS, BeamWorx AutoClean, Caris HIPS & SIPS, and Chesapeake SonarWiz. A proactive, flexible approach to achieving tasks. Good interpersonal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results. Possession of a full, valid driving license.
