The B2B Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for the thought leadership, strategy, plan development, and implementation of Elanco’s digital customer engagement activities in Region International. This role will shape Elanco’s Digital Marketing Transformation and help to establish the foundational framework, campaign strategy, and KPIs to maximize the value of the Veterinary customer experience. This role will work cross-functionally with the Customer Engagement Global team, Elanco IT, and Sales and Marketing leaders across our top 10 International affiliates.
This role will play a critical role in advancing our commercial-centric digital vision, enabling the governance, process, and technology to drive business results across the organization, delivering results through influencing multiple functions, business units and change management processes across the globe.
This leader will ensure the execution of the automated processes and adoption of Elanco’s multi-year transformation to an omnichannel customer engagement model across top 10 affiliates. This leader will develop and implement the communications approach that drives a closed marketing loop between sales and marketing. She/he will act as the internal subject matter expert in enabling customer interactions with holistic multichannel engagement and customer segmentation.
Thought leadership
1. Demonstrate forward-thinking mindset to continuously expand Elanco’s digital marketing ecosystem. Design a roadmap by identifying digital engagement trends and transformative efforts focused on successful change management.
2. Take ownership of strategic customer journeys including customer insights, end-to-end project deployment, monitoring performance, with bias to action through experimentation to scaling.
3. Define and champion the role that enables an automated multitouch customer strategy through multiple channels and apply those possibilities to drive Elanco business value & revenue growth
4. Partner with IT to build the technical foundation for personalized customer journeys, allowing brand teams to attract and convert qualified leads for sales.
Operationalize to scale
5. Proven experience with Agile – Scrum methodology to manage resources and outputs, drive best-value return and efficiency of the product. Shape end-to-end acumen and backlog, supporting Elanco’s efforts to elevate commercial excellence.
Drive campaign strategy
6. Create pilot campaigns (ex. Lifecycle journeys, triggered campaigns, etc.), manage A/B testing processes to test and learn and translate outcomes into actionable strategies.
7. Enable digital product launch approaches that secure differentiation in the marketplace
8. Drive campaign design and development in partnership with launch/brand/portfolio leaders to optimize marketing and sales rep engagement and customer impact.
9. Leverage new channels and Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities to deliver customer-centric journeys that meet strategic objectives.
10. Advise on content strategy, sharing and applying best practices.
11. Identify target audiences and personalized communications strategies.

Basic Qualifications
13. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
14. 5+ years of experience in digital marketing
15. B2B digital marketing experience
16. Track record of change management programs and influencing an organization without authority
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

18. Experienced with and passionate about driving business results and execution in a challenging environment
19. Experience with Customer Lifecycle Journey development to deliver customer engagement across the buyer’s journey.
20. Experience with monitoring campaign performance, identifying areas for campaign optimization and communicating these recommendations to business partners.
21. Experience with process documentation and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) definition.
22. Experience steering campaign strategy to align communications across multiple channels.
23. Ability to direct impactful engagement messaging at each stage of the buying cycle from acquisition and lead generation to conversion.
24. Exposure to technology platforms for content distribution, mobile technologies, digital merchandising, digital design, user experience, digital marketing, and CRM.
25. Understanding of how customer behaviors and technology are impacting animal health.
26. Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
27. Understanding the value of a CRM tool and how to incorporate in an omnichannel digital strategy.
28. Experience driving and executing complex projects and the ability to create simplicity out of a complex situation
29. Ability to thrive with a fast-moving, entrepreneurial mindset where work is moving fast, and decisions are made from data and intuition
