The Role:
My mainstream secondary school based a short commute from Didcot is actively seeking an experienced and knowledgeable English Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time permanent basis, with the scope for the right candidate to lead the department. To be successful, you will need excellent organizational skills and passion to plan and mark English lessons across key stages 3 to 5. Additionally, you will require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for this role. In taking on departmental leadership you will be responsible for directing and mentoring one of the school’s leading departments.
The School:
You will be joining a well-resourced English department with a number of new staff members bringing a fresh and new approach to the department. This school is committed to elevating the quality of its education provision, with a concerted focus on ensuring necessary steps are being made to accommodate their SEN students. The successful English Teacher can expect a salary of £31,650 - £49,084 depending on experience, with the scope to receive an additional TLR1 for teachers willing to lead the department.
