About the role…
We have been awarded a major multi-million-pound design and build framework agreement with Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) as part of NWG’s Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8) £3.6 billion investment programme. As we embark on this exciting 12-year design and build framework, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our Operations Team.
This is a full-time permanent role consisting of office-based working in our Durham office and home working on a hybrid basis.
What will your day look like…
1. Monitoring and reviewing all delivery and financial performance, and taking corrective actions to address abnormalities, including updating commercial and finance teams through management and ownership of cost reconciliations.
2. Liaising with our internal design team to ensure the Client’s expectations are met.
3. Liaising with individual stakeholders involved with various projects including local authorities, private land-owners, third party asset owners, and customers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
4. Approving sub-contractor invoices and ensuring payment within contract timescales.
5. Taking full accountability for safety and compliance auditing.
6. Leading and managing the delivery in construction.
About you…
You will hold a HNC Qualification or above (preferably in an engineering discipline) and will preferably be a member of the Institute of Civil Engineering. You will have NEC-3 ECC Project Managers Accreditation. You must be able to drive and hold a current, valid driving licence to carry out your duties as part of this role. A natural communicator, you will possess strong coaching, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills. You will have a good understanding of operational activities and trade skill along with financial awareness and the ability to work to budgets. You will maintain a working knowledge of disciplinary and capability procedures and finally, demonstrate experience of a similar role in a construction environment.
