About The Role
Enfinium is leading the way in sustainable energy, and we're excited to introduce Kelvin, our latest state-of-the-art Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility in West Bromwich. Set to be fully operational in 2026, Kelvin will process up to 395,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste annually, generating up to 44MW of electricity—enough to power 95,000 UK homes while reducing landfill reliance and supporting a circular economy.
As we prepare for operations, we're looking for Mechanical Technician to join our growing team and help shape the future of this cutting-edge site.

What the Role Involves:
As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing the mechanical systems and equipment across the EfW plant, ensuring the facility operates at maximum efficiency.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining, repairing, and overhauling mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and other plant machinery.
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal plant downtime and continuous performance.
* Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults, ensuring swift resolutions to prevent disruption.
* Assisting with plant upgrades and installation of new mechanical systems.
* Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in every task you undertake.
* Collaborating with other teams to enhance plant reliability and operational efficiency.
* Keeping accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and equipment performance.

What We Are Looking For:
* ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in a heavy industrial or energy-from-waste environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and compressors.
* A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and problem-solving.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental best practices.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A commitment to continuous learning and development.
