The post holder will be a member of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team and will be responsible for providing mental health assessments and interventions for children, adolescents, and families using evidence-based interventions for neurodevelopmental disorders and other mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure high-quality CAMHS assessment of children and families referred to the service.
2. Monitor and review young people, including recording their physical observations in the ADHD Clinic.
3. Complete assessments with young people referred, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of various therapeutic approaches, either alone or as a member of the MDT, including medication/physical reviews for those on medications.
Minimum Requirements:
1. NMC mental health nursing qualification and registration, along with significant post-qualification experience in mental health services to postgraduate diploma level.
2. Experience in case management of young people and multi-agency working, with knowledge and experience of neurodevelopmental disorders is essential.
