Hales Group are currently seeking an HGV Driver to join our client based in Ufford, Woodbridge.
We are looking for someone to undertake driving and loading duties across waste management roles and functions, in accordance with the service needs. Conducting and operating vehicles in accordance with the relevant legislation.
To load refuse/recycling/garden waste onto the collection vehicle whilst taking care for Health and Safety and customer care. To cleanse, litter pick, empty cleansing bins or hand sweep areas maintained daily.
Main Duties of HGV Driver Include:
Driving LGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicles in residential areas. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to reverse and manoeuvre in tricky areas with precision and care.
Operating the bin-lift mechanism
Loading bulky waste and special collections as required.
Complete daily rounds as efficiently and effectively as possible, whilst following appropriate procedures for the health and safety of the refuse crew, and members of the public.
To be considered for the role of HGV Driver:
Full UK Drivers Licence.
Digital Tachograph / Smart Card.
LGV Class 2 (Category C licence).
Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
Be physically and medically fit to undertake the role as required by the conditions of your licence
LOCATION: Ufford, Woodbridge.
HOURS: 6am – 4.45pm
ROTA: Working 4 days from 5 between Monday and Friday
PAY: £15.46 per hour
DURATION: Temporary
