The Role:
As the range of projects that we work on grow, so does our team!
We are currently looking to hire a Field Service Engineer at our coastal office in Weymouth.
In this a role you will be responsible for the installation, trouble shooting, technical support and routine maintenance of our full range of ASMPT placement machines, screen printers and associated equipment. The role requires a focus on our software components and machine connectivity in customer specific IT infrastructures, a keen interest in this area is required.
You will:
* Support our customers with technical inquiries through Hotline activities on a Rota basis, including outside of normal office hours.
* Be able to provide training both internally to colleagues and externally to customers as required.
* Promote and look improve the high reputation we have for quality, as well as assisting the team and team manager to develop the business.
About You:
We are looking for an all-rounder; you will be able to work independently and calmly in a high-pressure manufacturing environment as well as being an excellent team player.
You Will:
* Have experience in administration / installation and troubleshooting on Microsoft servers, client operating systems and relational database servers would be advantageous.
* Have worked in technical (electronics & software) you will have successfully completed formal technical training in this area.
* Have a Full Clean driving License.
* Be able to travel frequently and at short notice within the UK & Ireland and occasionally within Europe is essential.
* Have strong interpersonal skills and experience in working within a customer service role will be an advantage.
* Have great attention to detail and an appreciation of the importance of correctly administering relevant business tools and applications.
* Previous experience in SMT manufacturing & field service. (Desirable)
* Be Located south of M4. (Desirable)
* Have MCSA or MCSE training or certification. (Desirable)
* Have experience with Microsoft SQL Server. (Desirable)
