The Washington Guest House in Clifton, Bristol is looking for a fun, organised, customer service focussed Breakfast Supervisor to lead their breakfast department. As Breakfast Supervisor, you will be one of the management team within the Washington. This would be a great opportunity to combine with another part time job or perhaps have studies or freelance work you do Key details for the Breakfast Supervisor position: 27 hour per week contract Shift times 6.30am to around 11-11.30am on weekdays and 7.30am to 11-11.30am on weekends. Reporting to the Hotel Manager Managing a team of 2 chefs, 2/3 breakfast waiting team members and a kitchen porter. £12.25 per hour plus a performance related bonus. Working to a rota (that you will write) - 5 shifts per week to include weekend work on rotation. Key duties for the Breakfast Supervisor position: Leading a team of 5/6 people to ensure guests at the Washington have a great breakfast experience Training new front of house breakfast team member to ensure customer service standards are kept high. Writing the rota for your department Placing food and dry goods orders with approved suppliers Keeping the safer food, better business folder up to date - making certain that the kitchen operates within environmental health guidelines all the time. Holding meetings with your team (inc. chefs) to address any concerns and ensure they are developed and working well together. Coordinating with the hotel assistant manager, house manager and hotel manager to ensure the Washington runs smoothly Compiling timesheets for your department - submitting them to the hotel manager weekly. Coming up with ideas to further your breakfast team Please note that as breakfast is included in the cost of the hotel stay at the Washington, this role does not involve reconciling or taking payments and orders are taken via paper order pads Who are we looking for as Breakfast Supervisor? You will be an early riser and will be able to bring a smile to the faces of our guests despite the early hour You'll be reliable and trustworthy - this is a role that will see you open up the hotel in the morning so being able to arrive on time, all the time, is crucial. You'll be a natural leader - able to motivate your team to produce the high quality breakfasts that The Washington has become renowned for You will also be able to juggle different priorities - there will be natural 'lulls' during service and you'll use this time to get admin work or orders placed so that the department runs efficiently.
