Job Title: Maintenance Operative

A typical day in the life of a Maintenance Operative:
* Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, swimming pool, fitness equipment.
* Monitoring of preventative maintenance contractors to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment.
* Address and resolve maintenance issues promptly, such as fixing leaks, electrical faults and equipment malfunctions.
* Troubleshoot problems and determine the most effective solutions coordinating with external contractors for certain repairs when necessary.
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and club policies.
* Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments, reporting any hazards or non-compliance issues to the Maintenance Manager/General Manager.
* Ensure all areas of the club, including gym floors, changing rooms, and common areas are clear, orderly and in good repair.
What we are looking for:
* Previous experience in a maintenance role.
* Strong technical skills and knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and good attention to detail.
* Physical capability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending and being on your feet for extended periods.
* Good communications and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driving licence and own vehicle.
It would be desirable if you have a diploma or vocational qualification in a related field, along with knowledge and experience in plumbing and joinery. It would also be advantageous if you had a 17th Edition Electrical qualification or the equivalent qualification.
