Hours: 7am-4pm with some evening event work
As a Commis Chef, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, working under the guidance of the Head Chef and senior kitchen staff to prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standard. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow in a dynamic kitchen environment, with a strong focus on learning, development, and contributing to the kitchens success.

General responsibilities:
Preparation & Cooking: Assist with the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring all meals are made to the highest quality and presented in line with our standards. Take responsibility for your assigned station, ensuring it is organised, stocked and ready for service.
Food Safety & Hygiene :Follow food safety guidelines and hygiene protocols(HACCP),ensuring that all kitchen areas and equipment are kept clean and sanitized at all times.
Learning & Development:Be eager to learn new techniques and skills, participate in training, and apply this knowledge to your day-to-day work.
Stock Control:Assist in maintaining stock levels, rotating ingredients, and minimizing waste. Help with ordering and receiving deliveries as required.
Speed of Service:Ensure food is prepared and served promptly, especially during busy brunch periods, meeting the restaurants ticket times and service expectations.
