Gooch and Housego is seeking a qualified and motivated Group Reporting Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this key role supports the Group's financial consolidation and reporting processes, including the preparation of monthly management accounts. The position will also involve the Group’s controls testing programme and participation in various ad-hoc financial projects. Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of the G&H Group’s half-year and full-year financial reports.
* Support in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
* Produce the Group's monthly management accounting pack and other monthly reporting packs for the G&H Group Board and Executive Management Board.
* Work with reporting entities to ensure the completion of their monthly reporting and consolidation processes.
* Provide financial analysis of the Group’s financial results to senior management.
* Audit & Compliance:
o Liaise with the Group’s external audit team during the audit of the Group’s financial statements.
o Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls across the Group, including participation in on-site reviews.
* Technical Support & Advice:
o Assess the impact of new accounting standards on the Group’s financial reporting.
o Assist in maintaining the Group’s reporting chart of accounts, including financial KPIs.
o Support Group tax provision and computations.
* Ad-hoc Projects & Investor Relations:
o Assist with various special financial projects as required by the Group.
o Maintain the Group's investor website and other related tasks.
