Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compelling Senior Category Strategy Manager to drive sustainable growth across our beer portfolio. In this pivotal role, you will have overall accountability for developing segment strategies and providing strategic input into our Multi-Beverage Vision. You will be responsible for ensuring our critical category growth drivers are deeply embedded both internally and externally, underpinning our brand strategies and inspiring customers to choose Britvic as their partner for long-term category growth. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of segment strategies and consult on Perfect Store principles for beer Demonstrate category thought leadership, based on consumer, shopper, and channel insights Ensure brand NPD plans are driven by the Category Vision, delivering sustainable value and volume growth Support creation of inspiring customer-facing selling materials for NPD and category initiatives Work with key Senior Stakeholders to aid translation and successful implementation of segment strategy thinking Lead category insights delivery into Strategic Plan and/or Annual Operating Plan Partner with the Head of Shopper Strategy & Insights to ensure a joined-up strategy and executional plan Support on key performance challenges and proactively share insights with customer-facing teams or key customers Develop core range and space recommendations for Perfect Store clarity rooted in shopper and category insights Influence NPD projects through G1 and G2 to ensure they are focusing on category growth spaces Knowledge, skills & experience required Extensive FMCG background, ideally across multiple categories and/or channels. Demonstrable category management experience, including data literacy. Effective at prioritization for self and team with excellent communication skills. Tenacious and resilient when resolving business challenges, prepared to use judgment when needed. Expert in the effective use of continuous data (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, CGA). Ability to prioritize and turn multiple data sources into clear strategic insights, translating into actionable commercial plans. Strong understanding of consumer and shopper insight processes and how this information can create strategic recommendations across channel clusters. Intimate understanding of channel, brand, and shopper mission dynamics. Flair for storytelling, delivering key messages in logical and compelling structures. Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and deliver trust/credibility for the Category Strategy team.
