Are you a highly skilled and experienced IT professional looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an exceptional Infrastructure Manager to join our dynamic team and lead our ICT Infrastructure function. As an Infrastructure Manager, you will play a vital role in managing our IT operations, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the ICT Infrastructure function, overseeing server infrastructure, network management, cyber security, connectivity, telephony, and data backups.
2. Lead a team of technical experts, providing guidance and support in their roles.
3. Collaborate with the Head of IT to implement the strategic direction of the function, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
4. Develop and maintain architecture standards and procedures to support the organization's IT infrastructure needs.
5. Ensure the availability of the IT service desk during business hours and handle escalations.
6. Act as a key point of contact for IT-related queries, providing prompt and effective resolutions.
7. Plan and oversee IT operations, production support, systems administration, and network operations.
8. Monitor and optimize system performance and SLAs, making recommendations for enhancements.
9. Manage relationships with key IT product and service providers.
10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance infrastructure costs, performance, and end-user satisfaction.
11. Stay updated on industry trends and assess their impact on enterprise infrastructure needs.
12. Participate in the development of IT strategy planning activities.
13. Collaborate with operational managers to define infrastructure support initiatives and solutions.
14. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and information security guidelines.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years of IT experience, including leadership roles in IT infrastructure operations, project delivery, and systems lifecycle management.
2. Strong technical expertise in the following areas:
* Network design and administration
* Data centre operations
* Database administration
* Systems programming and administration
* Microsoft back-end stack (AD/GPO, DNS, DHCP, SQL, SharePoint)
* Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10, Server)
* Office 365 (Azure AD, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
* Azure (VMs, security, networking)
* Virtualization (VMware & Hyper-V)
* Storage solutions (Dell Compellent, QNAP, Brocade, Fibre-Channel, iSCSI)
* Network infrastructure (Cisco, FortiNet, PFSense, Ubiquiti, WAN architecture, SD-WAN)
* Telephony (Broadsoft)
* Monitoring tools (PRTG, SNMP)
* Firewall configuration and management
* Backup and recovery solutions (VEEAM, Zerto)
1. Proven team leadership and people development skills.
2. Understanding of ITIL practices and ability to apply them effectively.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to lead internal and external projects from inception to completion.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field (desirable).
7. Relevant technical certifications, such as Microsoft, Azure, VMware, and Cisco.
