What is the role?
As the Director of Change & Delivery, you will lead a function accountable for the successful implementation of all major and complex change programmes including IT, Network and Customer projects and programmes.
At this level, you will:
1. Have responsibility for leading and developing the change and delivery team, including IT project managers, customer project managers, infrastructure & growth project managers, business change managers, test managers, SIT testers and strategic programmes.
2. Manage the team to drive the delivery of projects including new system deployments, development and/or enhancements of existing systems, processes, product launches, new complex network & infrastructure build, network removal (equipment and site), delivery of network/technology efficiency programmes and delivery of customer orders once loaded into Cerillion.
3. Have excellent strategic department management experience with the ability to create, grow and manage a change management function motivated by Neos organisational values, and underpinned by clear, defined management reporting and KPIs – aligned to Neos Networks business measures & governance.
4. Stakeholder and resource management will be key, with accountability for managing the daily activities of internal and contractor resources, and 3rd party delivery partners or suppliers.
5. Customer focussed communication & delivery aligned to balance Neos Networks financial efficiency with network constraints and customer contractual commitments to ensure long-term customer delivery, minimising the ‘order to cash’ delivery lead-time.
6. Have excellent drive, interpersonal skills and communication, enabling stakeholder & relationship management with the ability to influence, communicate and interact with all levels of organisation from project team members to the board.
7. Challenge the status quo, driving innovation and continuous improvement in delivery, and promoting organisational efficiency.
8. Responsible for all project financial management for all gated spend - including reporting, forecasting, raising and managing financial budgets and ensuring effective financial smoothing.
9. Identify, own, develop and maintain project and change management documentation and artefacts– including the delivery of revised business processes as a result of the project deliverables.
10. Act as the key point of escalation for all delivery and project issues, utilising appropriate and established programme/ project governance forums and steering committees to ensure timely resolution.
11. Be a change management subject-matter expert for both internal and external customers.
What do I need?
* Bachelor’s degree in management or a related study, or equivalent experience.
* Strong understanding of programme & project management best practices.
* Extensive experience of delivery & change management within Telecoms, infrastructure, or related industries in a leadership role.
* Significant technology & telecoms programme and project management experience involving deployment of large-scale programmes of strategic and organisational change in one or more telecom domains (ie. Networks, IT and Digital).
* Strategic department management experience – evidence of building and managing a change management function motivated to Neos organisational values, and underpinned by clear, defined management reporting and KPIs.
* Excellent drive, interpersonal skills and communication enabling stakeholder & relationship management with the ability to influence, communicate and interact with all levels of organisation.
* Customer focussed approach – balancing Neos Networks financial efficiency with network constraints and customer contractual commitments to ensure long-term customer delivery minimising the ‘order to cash’ delivery lead time.
