Interim People Director The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary People Director to join a leading Multi–Academy Trust in the East Midlands on a 12–month fixed–term contract. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to lead transformative change in a large, complex organisation committed to delivering outstanding education outcomes.
Interim People Director Key Responsibilities:
– As the Interim People Director, you will provide strategic leadership across the Trust s HR and people functions during a critical period of growth and transformation
– Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team
– Driving the integration of new academies following mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
– Designing and managing transformation programmes to enhance organisational effectiveness and culture
– Supporting the Trust through structural and operational changes, ensuring alignment with its mission and values
– Developing and delivering innovative people strategies that strengthen leadership, improve staff retention, and enhance employee engagement
Interim People Director – You:
– Extensive experience in M&A and managing people–related aspects of large, complex, group company structures
– A proven track record of leading organisational transformation, including programme design and management
– The ability to operate effectively in fast–paced, high–pressure environments
– Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence at Board and Executive levels
– A deep understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and change management principles
– Experience within the education sector is desirable but not essential
