Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
• Assisting students with various SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning needs
• Helping to develop and deliver personalised learning plans and activities tailored to each student's needs
• Providing 1:1 or small group support to help students achieve their academic goals
• Promoting social and emotional development by building students' confidence and self-esteem
• Encouraging active participation in classroom discussions and activities
• Collaborating with the SENCO and other teaching staff to implement individual learning strategies
• Supporting students in developing independence, critical thinking, and self-regulation skills
• Managing classroom behaviour and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
• A 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology or a related field
• A genuine passion for working with students with SEN and supporting their development
• A solid understanding of psychological principles related to learning difficulties and child development
• Previous experience in an educational setting or with SEN students is advantageous, but not essential
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
• Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts in a clear and approachable way
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to make a positive impact on students' lives
• An interest in pursuing a career in education, SEN support, or educational psychology
