Main duties of the job The Deputy Director will play a crucial role in providing strategic leadership to the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and Complex Care services across the Integrated Care Board (ICB). They will ensure that these services are delivered within the national legal frameworks and associated performance guidelines and are value for money. The Deputy Director will have overarching management responsibility for multiple departments and teams, including CHC, Section 117 Aftercare, and Transforming Care. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing transformational workstreams in the area of Complex Care for the ICB to deliver both localised and ICB wide QIPP, efficiency and savings. A significant part of the role involves workforce development. The Deputy Director will have strategic oversight and create opportunities for the workforce. Additionally, the Deputy Director will focus on ensuring equity in care by developing and advancing the principles of care across the ICB, while simultaneously advancing the personalisation agenda.
