Position: Wine Account Manager | On-trade - Bucks, Herts, and Bedfordshire
Our client, a well-known wine distributor across the UK, is looking for a Wine Account Manager to join their team covering the Bucks, Herts, and Bedfordshire regions.
As Wine Account Manager, you will be tasked with achieving and exceeding annual targets by maintaining existing accounts and opening new accounts in the regions that meet the company's turnover and profitability criteria.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Meet or exceed annual sales and net contribution budgets within the specified regions.
2. Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop business with key prospects in Bucks, Herts, and Bedfordshire.
3. Maintain an active prospect list, ensuring new accounts opened meet size and profitability standards.
4. Keep product knowledge up-to-date to engage with customers and prospects at all levels.
5. Commit to key supplier targets for important brands and liaise with the Marketing team and brand managers on any Agency-driven issues.
6. Stay updated on vintage changes, out-of-stock situations, and major new listings and de-listings.
7. Efficiently manage time and develop a calling plan for regular visits to important customers.
8. Ensure efficient and timely communication with all Company departments regarding regional accounts.
9. Work with the Credit Control department to ensure all accounts remain within trading terms.
10. Utilize promotional activities arranged by the Company for the regions.
11. Fully prepare for supplier visits to maximize time invested.
12. Adhere to the Company's procedures in all aspects of your role.
13. Host wine dinners and events as required to promote sales and raise the company profile.
14. Work within agreed expense budgets (including samples) for the region and ensure all expenditure is planned and controlled.
15. Submit regular or ad hoc reports as requested within an agreed timeframe.
Experience & Qualifications:
1. Computer Literate: Proficiency in computer systems and sales tools.
2. Driving Licence: Required for travel across the regions.
3. WSET Qualified: Ideally to level 2 or equivalent.
4. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of sales growth and account management experience.
5. Channel Experience: Experience selling to both on-trade and independent off-trade channels is desirable.
