The Team
You will work on the origination and execution of lead advisory mandates in the mid-market and specialise within the North to help financial services, corporate and private equity clients across different sectors and coverage areas to achieve their strategic objectives of buying or selling their company from initial strategic review to successful completion. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates to join a growing and ambitious team as a sector specialist.

Roles and Responsibilities
4. Manage M&A projects (with support from and reporting into Associate Director/ Director / Partner) including being the day to day point of contact for clients.
5. Actively managing client interfaces taking responsibility for managing all phases of the transaction cycle and deal execution.
6. Leading and managing the delivery of marketing documentation, as well as pitch materials and client proposals
7. Directing and managing junior colleagues, analysts and support staff on M&A transactions, including reviewing their work
8. Coaching and contributing to the development of junior team members
9. Set, monitor and control M&A project budgets, billing and other reporting requirements
10. Taking responsibility for, and proactively assisting business development efforts, including pitching for new work
Experience & Background
11. Must have relevant corporate finance experience in an investment bank, property consultancy, Big 4 or mid-tier or private equity firm
12. Significant transactional experience with a demonstrable track record of deal execution across all phases of the deal lifecycle from origination through to completion, particularly sell side transactions
13. Ideally experience of working on transactions involving private equity
14. Strong project management skills
15. Ability to work on a range of projects simultaneously to demanding timetables.

18. Independent thinker with the ability to identify problems and contribute to the development of solutions
19. Comfortable discussing financially related commercial issues.
20. Financial modelling including LBO & DCF analysis

23. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
24. Personable team player with the ability to create confidence and trust with both colleagues and clients
25. Able to build and develop strong relationships with clients and multipliers in the market
