Role Description
An exciting opportunity to join the vibrant integrated planning team and play a key role within the co-ordination of activity across Premier Inn, Honda and Emirates accounts.
The Communications Planner is tasked with playing a vital role in the client-facing account management team. This role focuses on the full campaign lifecycle, from taking in new briefs, to creating exciting media plans across all online and offline channels, through to overseeing activation and post-campaign analysis.
You will work closely with the wider Comms team to deliver innovative and effective media plans, whilst having autonomy to develop cross channel planning skills within the team. You will have excellent people skills, be confident in planning online and offline campaigns, and have a strong understanding of reporting and measurement requirements.
You will need to build excellent relationships with clients, media owners, internal data specialists, and those working within your own team. You will have an ambition to get involved in the broader agency culture as well as building UMs reputation in the wider industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the day to day management of client relationships, earning the trust and respect of the client and key contacts.
2. Collaborate closely with media partners to align performance against client expectation and new opportunities.
3. Input into the development and management of the Client Executive.
4. Work seamlessly with Strategy and Specialist teams to ensure brilliant thinking is turned into brilliant implementation.
5. Production of competitor reports using DDS and Addynamix.
6. Ensuring numerical accuracy when delivering campaign reporting/analysis and managing relevant financial processes.
7. Support the Communications Manager and Communications Director in implementing the right process and procedures for effective day to day management of all activity.
8. Accountability: on-going tracking of value and quality deliveries and attendance at reviews.
9. Share knowledge and understanding across the team and wider agency.
10. Understand the billing and revenue on your clients business and proactively bring to the attention of thee leadership team monthly fluctuations, opportunities and threats.
11. Provide timely and accurate billings projections each month to the account lead.
12. Identify opportunities and build strategic recommendation alongside specialist business units to grow revenue within your group.
13. Support UM with new business opportunities and ad hoc pitch requests.
Desired Skills & Experience
14. You will ideally have experience working on a range of brands, and across a wide range of channels. Ideally you will have digital first experience who has been responsible for the implementation and management of campaigns.
15. You have a solid understanding of the online and offline media landscape in the UK.
16. You have strong communication skills and can work well in a team environment
17. You are confident working with clients and presenting both in person and via Microsoft Teams
18. You have a good understanding of media metrics and have an analytical mind to be able to provide insights from data
19. You have a strong focus on attention to detail
20. You are a self-motivated and driven person who has an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to succeed and achieve.
21. You are confident using Excel and key media planning and buying tools (AdIntel, YouGov, Prisma, DDS)
