Business Development Manager Freight Offering a salary of up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience plus bonus structure. Previous experience within Freight Business Development is essential. Based in West Midlands (B75). We are currently working with a Freight Forwarder who are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with experience within Business Development/Sales, particularly within the freight industry. The successful candidate will generate sales through the introduction of new customers and developing a client base. Duties of the Business Development Manager will include: Generation and follow-up of sales leads, meeting potential and existing customers. Providing quotations where necessary and negotiating costs through. Build and maintain relationships with overseas agents. Offer an exceptional standard of customer service to internal and external customers. Arranging and attending sales meetings. Gaining verified information on existing and potential clients freight requirements. Presenting sales tenders. Account management. This role requires a candidate who: Has experience within a sales role, within the freight industry. Excellent working knowledge of all freight modes, covering sea, air and road, across both imports and exports. The ability to work to strict deadlines and strives to achieve targets and KPIs. Our client is looking for a candidate who has previous Business Development experience, however they are open to candidates with very strong freight experience who possess a strong, can-do attitude.
