Responsible for executing various tasks related to current cost rates / inventory valuation and the timely resolution of errors Responsible for preparing the relevant costing information and analyses for operational management Main Tasks Maintain production cost controlling processes: on SKUs level, production orders by all components (RM, speeds, wastes etc) Deal with operations KPI controlling on a frequent basis: actual performance in general and by product, group, machine etc versus standard/targeted Control and update the Bills of Materials, Master data to ensure accurate costs and meticulously review costs for any discrepancies Prepare the pre- post calculation analysis with advice of areas for improvement Update the standard costs and ongoing monitoring and updating of inventory levels (including stocktaking) Regular internal reporting of defined operational key figures (e.g., waste, efficiency) and development of related measurement systems/processes Develop decision-making bases, creating and improving existing analytical tools & systems (e.g., cost analysis, PMDB). Assist with financial month-end closing activities (e.g., inventory valuation, management information systems, cockpit). Analyse monthly results (focus on cost drivers) Support commercial/pricing team with right checked costing Support and collaborate closely with local operations manager with transparent analysis and areas for improvements Support in new product development, optimisations in costing areas Support of the annual budgeting process and forecasts Controls according to the internal control system (CSA) and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Major Challenges & Complexities The Costing Controller operates in a challenging and fast paced environment. They will be interacting with various departments daily and will: Maintain relationships with all departments from site (finance, production, supply chain, master data, planning, commercial, pricing customer service, sales etc) Exchange with BU and central functions such as BU finance, commercial, R & D etc What we are looking for Manufacturing experience SAP preferred or other manufacturing ERP system experience Advanced Excel skills Strong knowledge of CO (Product Cost Controlling) / MM modules in SAP.
