You will play a crucial role in managing the efficient and effective production of outputs to provide business insights and meet stakeholder needs. Senior Finance Analyst Location: Leeds Type : Permanent Salary : £40,000 - £44,000 The role: As our next Senior Finance Analyst, you’ll be interpreting complex information, keeping up to date with industry changes, and adapting your approach to meet stakeholder needs. Your expertise will ensure our financial processes are robust and well-informed, driving the success of our business strategy. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Processing complex data using established procedures and testing new procedures to identify potential improvements. Tracking budgets and highlighting variances to senior colleagues while working within established budgeting systems. Organising and preparing complex documents using multiple applications (such as Microsoft Office suite), and gathering and summarising data for special reports. Identifying and addressing deficiencies in processes, systems, and procedures, implementing changes to support operational requirements, and communicating these across assigned areas. Providing technical support and assistance to the business, using judgment to escalate more complex queries. Producing and analysing information for business areas to support decision-making. Preparing and analysing information for planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure business areas are aware of their performance and variances from agreed targets. Establishing and building relationships with internal and external service providers and customers to identify business requirements, improve operational efficiency, and provide appropriate support and guidance. Supervising the day-to-day activities of assigned team members to ensure their performance meets required standards, as well as providing ongoing support and coaching Managing processes to deliver business unit-wide impact, handling some risk and issues as a subject matter expert. Your skills and experience: Part qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA) Proven experience in finance analysis and data processing Strong stakeholder management – able to deal with senior stakeholders and answer queries quickly and efficiently Strong analytical skills, particularly in using Excel Excellent organisational, communication and numerical skills Experience in supervising and developing team members.
