- Lead and manage a team of 5-6 professionals, overseeing approximately 40 trucks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and main haulers, with a strong emphasis on planning, customer satisfaction, and effective communication.
- Ensure seamless coordination across all operational areas to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Inspire and develop planning teams, equipping them with the necessary skills to effectively manage their driver teams.
- Maintain compliance with all transport regulations and health & safety standards.
- Identify and implement operational improvements to boost efficiency and performance levels.
- Manage daily planning and staffing to achieve operational objectives.
- Oversee a workforce of around 60 drivers and associated planning teams.
- Ensure the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on compliance, service quality, and financial targets.
- Uphold statutory and company safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in transport management within a multi-site environment.
- Solid understanding of the airfreight distribution industry.
- Significant experience in team development within a logistics context is preferred.
- Professional demeanor with a helpful attitude to facilitate smooth operations.
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to set clear objectives and motivate teams.
- Adaptability to change, thriving in a dynamic organizational setting.
- National/International CPC certification (Essential).
