Altum Consulting are pleased to be partnered with a global PE backed logistics company to help source a Financial Reporting Accountant into the group finance function. The role will play an integral part in the global accounting and controls team and support the implementation of the control and process framework, as well as the financial accounting and reporting agenda across the globe.
Key responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all aspects of the accounting for the Central business unit which is predominantly a cost driven profit centre.
2. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Management of the division's intercompany position with other service lines.
4. Management of the costs all group properties solely occupied by the division.
5. Working with the other business units and with other service lines within the Group to agree the correct allocation of costs, challenging as necessary.
6. Preparation of cost and other analysis as part of the monthly and annual cycles.
7. Working with the FP&A team to facilitate budgeting and reforecasting for the Central business unit.
8. Preparation of presentations, reports and analysis.
9. Preparation of cash flow budgets and forecasts, and monthly tracking of cash performance, liaising with Group Treasury and continuously refining and making improvements.
Required Experience & Skills:
1. Full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
2. Newly qualified or 1-2 years post qualified experience
3. Strong working knowledge of IFRS accounting standard
4. Ability to manage intercompany relationships
5. Experience managing a month-end process
6. Previous experience liaising with external auditors
