Messaging Engineer - SC/DV

A primary technical partner of the MOD are looking to add to their infrastructure innovation team. This role will be working with an existing team, collaborating with teams on supporting supporting the mission of keeping UK Defence agile and safe.
Desired Technical Skills:
5. Proven experience in administering Microsoft Exchange (//) and Skype for Business
6. Familiarity with Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) administration (desired).
7. Strong understanding of email protocols, such as SMTP, IMAP, and POP.
8. Experience with email archiving solutions and compliance requirements.
9. Knowledge of Active Directory integration with messaging systems.
10. Knowledge of VMware (to the extent of working with VM Payloads) with NetApp SAN and Cohesity backups

Exchange
22. Managing Exchange Servers, including mailbox databases, connectors, and transport rules.
23. Configuring and troubleshooting mail flow, mailbox permissions, and distribution groups.

25. Monitoring and optimising Exchange Server performance and security.
Skype
26. Supporting Skype for Business services, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
27. Managing user accounts, presence, and conferencing features.
28. Integrating Skype with Exchange and other collaboration tools.
Blackberry
29. Providing Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) administration and support.
30. Configuring and troubleshooting Blackberry devices and services.
31. Ensuring Blackberry services integrate effectively with messaging platforms.
32. Incident and Problem Management:
33. Responding to and resolving escalated incidents related to messaging and collaboration tools.
34. Performing root cause analysis for recurring issues and implementing preventive measures.
35. Collaborating with other IT teams and vendors to resolve complex technical problems
