Rushden Day Nursery rated Good by Ofsted providing care for children from 3 months - 5 years are seeking a Nursery Assistant to come and join the team.
Within this role you will be responsible for a designated group of children as a key person and will guide the children through the daily routine, liaise with parents and provide an enabling environment.
This role is working 36 hours per week,8am-6pm 4 days per week. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have childcare experience but formal qualifications are not required.
Salary: £16,099.20 - £21,415.68
As Nursery Assistant, you will:
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
* Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
* Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
* Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
* Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
* Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

As Nursery Assistant, you will need:
* Undertaking a full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification - desirable
* Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
* Over 6 months experience of working in Early Years - essential
* Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
