Based at our client’s offices in Lincolnshire, this hands-on position allows you to apply your extensive supply chain management experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, delivering impactful results while optimising and maintaining exceptional supply chain performance. You’ll be responsible for building key supplier partnerships, managing service level agreements, and overseeing supplier performance, including conducting visits as needed. Role Responsibilities:
* To analyse and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) demands and monitor Kanban inventory levels for assigned commodities, to ensure timely replenishment, preventing shortages or excess stock
* To nurture and cultivate business relationships with suppliers, negotiate competitive pricing, communicate forecast requirements, and address lead time challenges to mitigate business risk
* To measure and evaluate supplier performance driving continuous improvement throughout the supply chain
* To identify opportunities for process improvement, optimising inventory and replenishment processes reducing risk, improving turnover, shortening cycle times, and enhancing on-time delivery
* To collaborate with the wider team to ensure business needs are met
* To stay updated on current industry trends and best practices
Skills you will need:
Essential:
* Proven experience in supply chain management
* A manufacturing or engineering background
* Proficiency in ERP and supply chain management software
* Proven ability to assess and track supplier performance using key metrics
* Strong knowledge of procurement and inventory management principles
* Excellent communication and negotiating skills
* Highly organised with strong analytical and decision-making skills
* Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities
* A team player able to work cross-functionally to meet business needs
* Proficient IT skills and the use of Microsoft Office suite
* A valid passport and the willingness to travel Europe and Internationally as required
Desirable:
* Experience with Dynamics 365 and implementing lean concepts (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S)
* Lean Manufacturing Six-Sigma Green Belt certification and CIPS certification
