What does the consumer research team at CGA do?
Our team is a critical function that manages and analyses research projects within the hospitality sector – we’re a growing and supportive team who share a mission to help some of the world’s biggest brands to better understand how consumers interact with their products and how they behave when out at a bar or restaurant, working within approximately 40 markets (and growing!). A Consumer Research Manager in our team will be responsible for leading qualitative and quantitative consumer research projects in this dynamic sector, designing research solutions, analysing results, and presenting recommendations to internal stakeholders and client businesses.
Who we’re looking for?
We’re looking for a naturally curious individual who is passionate about market research and enjoys spending time in the On Premise. The ideal candidate will have over 2-3 years’ experience in an insight-based role, having made a flying start to their market research career so far, and who is keen to take on a new challenge within an exciting and ever-changing sector! We seek someone who is eager to learn, brings an eye for detail, has experience with a multitude of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and can create strong relationships with stakeholders and clients of varying levels of seniority. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is interested in the sector, wants to take the next step in their market research career, and will take ownership of their own workload while taking pride in what they do.
This role is perfect for someone who has excelled in their career up to now and is either looking to step up to a project management role (from an executive or senior executive role) or a current manager looking to side-step into one of the most exciting sectors around and wants to progress further!
A bit more detail, what would my main responsibilities be?
* Conduct and manage research projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and timely delivery
* Design and lead qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
* Mentor junior team members in scripting surveys and conducting data analysis
* Create informative presentations that convey key research findings
* Build and maintain strong relationships across business units and with clients to support business development efforts
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to update on projects and support business development efforts
* Support the development of junior team members and inspire growth within the team
* Design, develop, and deliver global insights into the ever-changing eating and drinking out sector
What we need from you:
* A confident researcher with over 2-3 years of experience
* Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
* Proficiency and confidence with various research methodologies
* Passion for the food and beverage industry
* Passion for finding the real story behind our data and seeing the value for our clients
* Eye for detail and an ability to manage your own project load to high standards
* Creative, self-motivated, organised, and curious
* Exceptional communication skills, with positive energy to bring out the best in yourself and those around you
* Bachelor's degree (2:2 or above)
* Line management experience preferred but not essential
