Work Hours: 25hrs per week. Work pattern to be discussed with the selected candidate.

Key responsibilities:
* Take part in the daily laboratory operations with focus on molecular diagnostics using RT-qPCR. That includes but not limited to, sample registration, processing of various types of nucleic acids from fish and environmental samples, operation of liquid handling robots, performing molecular test, data analysis and reporting.
* Supporting diagnostic team at other departments such as sample receiving and logistics, microbiology and histology as required.
* Monitor and replenish laboratory consumables and client consumables stock levels.
* Assist in the preparation and production of sampling kits for clients.
* Ensure proper storage and disposal of samples in compliance with company guidelines.
* Carry out receipt of goods from suppliers and technical maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications and skills:
* Bachelor's degree and/or technical college with relevant subject combinations in biotechnology, molecular biology, microbiology or similar.
* Experience working in laboratory environment. Relevant experience within molecular diagnostic, histopathology and/or microbiological labs will be an advantage.
* Knowledge of the aquaculture industry will be an advantage.
* Ability to work well within a small group.
* Excellent communication skills and good English skills, both written and oral.
* Good computing skills, including Microsoft office (Excel, Power point, word).
* High organisation skill, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-driven and someone who can take initiative to support the team.
