We are currently supporting an independent Scottish Law firm with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh for an experienced HR Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with a leading legal firm in Glasgow or Edinburgh. As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the recruitment process and providing HR guidance across the organisation. What you’ll do Providing generalist HR support, advice and guidance to partners, managers and employees within the Firm Providing advice, support and coaching on all ER issues Carrying out generalist HR admin tasks when required including preparation of contracts of employment, changes to terms and conditions, handling maternity leave and flexible working requests in line with employment law and best practice Conducting exit interviews, identifying particular trends and producing reports on a regular basis Work with the HR Manager to proactively identify areas of improvement in HR policies and practices with various HR queries throughout the business Supporting the HR Assistant to oversee the recruitment process from advert to appointment Advising managers on the recruitment process, drafting and placing adverts, arranging interviews and ensuring fair selection Review and update the current induction process for all new starts Carrying out the HR induction for all new starts Supporting the HR Manager in developing, implementing and updating HR processes, policies and procedures Supporting the HR Manager in processing a monthly payroll ensuring accurate input of new starts, leavers, overtime, general adjustments Liaising with the payroll outsourcing provider (Moorepay) What you’ll need Experience working at an HR Advisors role ideally within a professional services or law firm environment A CIPD qualification would be advantageous Confident user of IT programmes and HR systems Knowledge of employment legislation Good understanding of employment legislation and maintains regular CPD Experience of processing a monthly payroll and using Moorepay would be desirable Be able to multitask, prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines What you’ll receive Competitive salary A thriving, positive and progressive working environment Competitive benefits package What’s next?
