Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hertfordshire, Watford
Salary: (20,941.63 - 22,834.95 Pro rata) depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full time - 32.5 hrs per week, Mon - Fri. Term time only
Academics are recruiting on behalf of an excellent school that provides an outstanding experience for their pupils with EHCP.
This is a full-time permanent position within a primary school on the Watford borders.
Even though this is a primary school, the school has a separate SEN Hub that provides a specialist learning environment for students aged 5 to 11 who have a range of MLD needs including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties, who require an individualised, specialist approach.
This is a well-resourced HUB with exceptional facilities and a therapeutic team.
Due to the continued increase in students and expansion of the school provision, the school is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join the team to create better education for their students.
Role Responsibilities:
* Support students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum within various learning contexts including the classroom, local environment, and community.
* Assist young people with a range of needs.
* Support an environment that fosters equality, diversity, and the rights of all young people to be seen as learners and treated with respect.
* Emphasize support and empowerment of young people.
* Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues.
* Provide high-quality support in all aspects of the role.
* Duties will vary; be prepared to diversify and assist wherever required.
