What you’ll be responsible for:
* Providing the lead for how we use Microsoft platforms and solutions within Welsh Water including both the ITS Team and wider Business Departments.
* Ensuring that the agreed investment in Microsoft platforms and applications fits with the future business requirements and takes account of new requests for change and the demands of service delivery.
* Identifying and implementing best practice Microsoft platforms, solutions and applications architecture from across the IT industry as it applies to DCWW and the water utility sector.
* Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of Microsoft Platforms, Solutions, Applications and Technology base including when changes will be required to our Microsoft Solutions.
* Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging standards, working with partners/vendors to understand new application releases or new applications being considered for use by Welsh Water.

About you:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience with an in-depth knowledge and proven track record in Solutions Architecture with Microsoft platforms and systems in a comparable industry/sector.
* Experience providing consultancy to the business, including offering solutions to business needs that meet architecture requirements.
* Knowledge of Architecture and Technology Planning, including Microsoft Systems Architecture and emerging technology planning.
* Ability to work with partners, colleagues and third parties to build and cost a solution from concept to technical solution.
* Knowledge of new and emerging Microsoft Technologies and industry best practices.

This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate is expected to work in the office 2 days a week or as and when the business requires.
