Our Pre-Delivery Inspection Team is critical to the delivery of machines to our customers and we are looking for an experienced engineer to join our team. Major Job Functions: To complete machine pre-delivery inspections to an agreed specification and maintain documentation in a professional manner. To use approved software provided by the IT department or suppliers to diligently document and communicate the findings and outcomes. To install machines as directed within the Mills Leamington site, including showroom and automation areas. To complete mechanical/electrical interface work in Mills workshop and showroom facilities to an agreed specification including but not limited to axis interface, preparation for robot integration. To work closely with your team, maintaining strong professional relationships. Contribute to a harmonious work environment and facilitate effective collaboration. To work closely with operational departments to facilitate effective collaboration by sharing knowledge and experience. To support both on-site Mills personnel, and to off-site Mills personnel via phone or email. Creation of Standard Operating Procedure documents and knowledge base articles. To gain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Mills CNC Ltd product range and attend training when and where necessary on new control systems and machine models. To continually review new products and systems and highlight to the Management any inherent quality issues. To maintain ownership of assigned tasks, involving other departments as necessary but ensuring close out of issues. To ensure that the workshop/showroom is maintained in a clean and tidy state once your work on a machine project is completed. Essential Skills Engineering HNC and Modern Apprenticeship - or equivalent experience Knowledge of one or more of the following controls: Fanuc / Siemens / Heidenhain Machine tool knowledge Able to read mechanical drawings Able to read hydraulic and pneumatic drawings Able to read electrical drawings Fault finding in control, electrical and mechanical disciplines Fitting skills electrical and mechanical disciplines Mechanical and electrical fitting skills A pro-active approach to workload, maintaining attention to detail Good verbal and written communication IT Literacy - use of PC / Mobile / Email Must live within commuting distance of Mills CNC Leamington Spa site Desirable Skills Control Knowledge in programming and maintenance disciplines on all controls: Fanuc, Heidenhain and Siemens System and integration knowledge Experience in PLC software modification on Fanuc, Heidenhain and Siemens What’s on offer Along with 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays) and a highly competitive salary, the successful candidate will receive life assurance, Vitality health insurance, discounts at gyms and retailers across the country and many more perks available through our employee benefits scheme.
