Job Role:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will report to the Quality Manager and Senior Manager. You will play a significant role in the development, organization, and ongoing business improvement of production operations and new product introduction, working closely with production and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define all aspects of the production and quality method, including manufacturing/quality instructions for NPI and current portfolio.
* Act as a technical customer interface for key projects, ensuring smooth introduction of new projects to manufacturing operations.
* Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements with a ‘right first time’ approach.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Maintain Project/Product files throughout the product lifecycle.
* Drive all projects to completion in conjunction with engineering, quality, and operational stakeholders.
* Develop production and quality plans for manufacturing operations.
* Perform PFMEA & effective analysis studies.
* Lead advanced manufacturing engineering activities in support of NPI, LEAN, and 5S.
* Resolve and troubleshoot production/quality issues.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
* HND or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering or relevant experience.
* Knowledge of NPI.
* Able to build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and tools (8D, 5 Why, etc.).
* Previous experience with an ERP/MRP system.
* Practical competence in mechanical assembly.
* Experience in an Aerospace/Defence environment.
* Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100D, or a similar QMS system.
* Familiarity with AS9145 APQP & PPAP.
