JOB TITLE: Head of Fleet & Equipment JOB LOCATION: NI TERMS: Permanent THE JOB Reporting to the Group Procurement Director, this role will ensure the optimisation and compliance of the Fibrus Group fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment. You will work closely with business stakeholders in Delivery, Operations, HSEQ and People & Culture to ensure the fleet meets Fibrus business needs and sustainability targets. This role can be based in Belfast, or Coalisland and will require regular travel to Penrith. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? Lead the timely procurement and disposal of company vehicles Plan supply requirements, maintenance and repairs for the Company's fleet of vehicles Ensure all Company vehicles comply with legal, operating and licensing requirements and regulations Procure best value lease deals/renewals, repair & maintenance service and insurance cover for company vehicles Protect the value of Company vehicle assets, using Fleet Management and Driver monitoring systems Ensure allocation and inspection records are accurately maintained through Fleet, Plant and Equipment registers Oversee reporting on driving standards and behaviours Provide support to Company vehicle users on servicing, maintenance and also on driving safety Review weekly vehicle checks, identifying areas for improvement Keep the Company vehicle handbook updated Process purchase orders promptly for any purchases. Ensure adherence to all Health and Safety practises Managing the fleet and equipment team; including allocation of work, setting goals, providing feedback and supporting with escalations. WHAT WILL YOU BRING? Significant experience in a similar role Experience in people management; coaching, providing support and day to day management of team Hold a relevant Transport Management qualification (such as CILT or Transport Manager CPC) A strong team player with initiative, strong organisation and the desire to succeed Experience of deploying and using fleet management software Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills Commercial and financial awareness as managing budgets and keeping costs to a minimum Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams Ability to lead and motivate a team Ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as to think strategically and laterally Resilience and the ability to overcome challenges IT proficient IS FIBRUS FOR ME?
