Due to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we are looking for a Programme Lead. Your new role
As a Programme Lead, you will report to the Head of Service for Cultural Development & Tourism, which is intended to bring both capacity and specialist knowledge to drive themercial benefit and economic impact of the film, music, e-gaming and tourism sectors in the city. The role will focus on the immediatemercial requirements of the film service as well as the transformational change needed in the next 2 years. The role will directly manage the 2 staff (film & tourism) but will undertake a review of options for developing the film service offered by the city. The role will specifically lead on projects regarding music, e-gaming and other creative industries, evidencing the opportunities and direct and indirect benefits to the city. You will also be responsible for:
1. Implementing measures to ensure the Film Service delivers on its budget in 2024/25 and in future years
2. Undertaking a review of the Film Service and developing a business case for the function that will enable Birmingham to maximise the impact of the growing film/TV sector
3. Work with partners (including the WMCA) to maximise the investmenting into the city for creative industries
4. Reviewing funding streams andmercial opportunities

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this role, you should have experience as a project and/or programme lead, have strong organisational and negotiation skills, and fantasticmunication and relationship building.
The following attributes/experience will also be very advantageous: film/TV or creative industries,mercial acumen, and experience of funding opportunities.
