Summary of Role:
The Customer Marketing Manager is responsible for driving long-term brand growth. You will develop and execute customer marketing programs that align with brand and channel strategies to drive sales and brand visibility across the grocery and convenience sectors. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to make an impact, with a £200m retail sales value across both On-Trade and Off-Trade channels.
Main Role and Responsibilities:
Annual Customer Marketing Plans:
Lead the development, creation, and implementation of customer marketing plans for the UK Grocery & Convenience channel. Ensure all activities align with brand strategies and support the three-year portfolio roadmap.
Marketing Mix & Campaign Execution:
Manage the full mix of in-channel marketing activities, including retailer media, e-commerce initiatives, visibility at fixtures, off-shelf displays, and POS materials.
Sales Support:
Support the Grocery & Convenience sales teams by developing strategic customer partnerships. Present customer marketing plans at customer meetings with creativity and impact.
Regional Sales Tools & POS:
Develop regional sales execution tools and POS materials to support brand visibility and availability across grocery and convenience channels.
Brand Bank Management:
Oversee the library, ensuring product images are updated and seasonally relevant. Develop e-commerce programs to foster customer and brand growth.
Creative Asset Development:
Collaborate with the Brand, Artwork Teams, and external agencies to develop creative assets for POS materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and channel priorities.
Evaluate Marketing Effectiveness:
Evaluate customer marketing activities to assess the return on investment (ROI) for each platform. Use insights to refine future strategies.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
Ensure all activity plans are communicated to the wider commercial team and business stakeholders in an engaging and timely manner.
Budget Management:
Manage annual investment forecasting and provide accurate estimates of planned and unplanned spend each quarter.
Other Duties:
Adhere to professional standards, complying with ISO9001, British Retail Consortium, Organic Standards, and Environmental Management Standards (ISO 14001), as well as legal and safety requirements.
Abide by company policies and procedures outlined in the terms and conditions and the company handbook, including site hygiene, environmental, and safety protocols.
Undertake training to enhance skills relevant to the position and to ensure continuous professional development.
Perform other duties as required that align with the role and team objectives.

Essential:
5+ years’ experience in customer marketing, particularly within the FMCG sector and Grocery & Convenience channels.
Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

Strategic thinking with a proactive and creative approach.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Desirable:
Experience in the drinks industry.
Knowledge of On-Trade marketing.
Qualifications:
Educated to degree level.
Full driving license.
Degree in Business or Marketing
