Bank Paediatric Physiotherapist
Band 6 or Band 7 equivalent with proven experience in paediatric Neurology and neurodevelopmental conditions
Working hours – 2 days (15 hours/week),
Part-time - Monday to Friday (no expectation to do on-call or work on weekends)
Location – Cromwell Hospital, Kensington, SW5 0TU

As a Bank Paediatric Physiotherapist, you will provide highly specialist and evidence-based assessment, outcome measures, diagnosis and intervention for paediatric clients (aged from birth up to 18 years of age) as an autonomous practitioner. You have proven experience in working independently in effective caseload management and optimal service delivery and are able to support the development of the Paediatric Physiotherapy Service at Cromwell Hospital.
What you’ll do:
1. Participate in discharge planning and liaise with external agencies to ensure a discharge that is safe and supportive of the patient’s ongoing care and rehabilitation needs.
2. Comply with confidentiality policies as set out by Bupa, CH, HCPC and the CSP.
3. Respect a patient’s right to be chaperoned and appropriately implement the Hospital chaperone policy.
4. Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely patient treatment records and reports in line with local and national requirements for best management of the patient.
5. Manage clinical risk within your caseload at all times and ensure potential clinical risk is effectively communicated and managed.
6. Promote dignity, privacy, and safety always, with consideration of the patient’s cultural, spiritual, and personal needs and preferences.
7. Be aware of the limitations of your own clinical practice/experience and seek support appropriately.
8. Be responsible for the ethical, safe, and competent recommendation and provision of therapy equipment within your scope.
9. Keep abreast of the latest evidence within your specialty to maintain best clinical practice.
10. Participate actively in the departmental in-service training programmes and opportunities within the Hospital.
11. Share your knowledge, skills, and experience and work collaboratively with your colleagues.
What you’ll bring:
1. Degree in Physiotherapy.
2. HCPC Registration.
3. Enhanced DBS clearance.
4. Proven experience in neurodevelopment and neurology and/or paediatric MSK and orthopaedics.
5. Knowledge of paediatric outcome measures and standardised assessments.
6. Knowledge of specialist equipment appropriate to paediatric physiotherapy.
