Ramsey Neighbourhoods Trust, a local community development charity has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, to help us run our programme of activities for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities. This post is part-time 12.5 hours per week and can be worked flexibly but must be office based. The successful candidate will also support with obtaining funding. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise and expand your knowledge and workings of community development.
Contract: 1 year in the first instance. May be extended if funding permits.
Job Purpose: To manage the Ramsey Community Support Hub in partnership with local community groups, statutory and voluntary organisations.
• Responsibility for the recruitment of their staff and volunteers, induction, training and supervision relating to children’s activities
• Line management of staff
• Ensuring that documentation is up to date ie DBS
• Responsibility for the running and the design of a programme of activities at youth clubs, children’s activities and holiday sessions.
• Ensuring the appropriate risk assessments are undertaken for any activity
• Be the responsible person for Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
• Have an overview of budgeting and financial management of funding bids.
• Responsibility for managing staff timesheets
• Be the point of contact with statutory bodies including schools, councils, health services and Police.
• Ensuring cover of groups for staff sickness and absence.
• Managing and overseeing Sparks, a club for adults with learning disabilities.
• Ability to work closely and co-operatively with Trustees and staff
• Liaising effectively with partners and users
• Flexibility and out of office hours is essential.
