Job title: Senior Quantity Surveyor\nLocation: Based out of any of the following locations: Epsom, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, York, Birmingham, Derby\nHybrid working: 2/3 days based in the office\nDuration: 6 months+\nPay rate: £60 - £70 p/h (inside IR35)\nSC clearance (desirable)\nOur client are a leading engineering consultancy that specialise in projects across the transportation sector. They currently require a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their business and support on a variety of high-profile projects.\n\nJob Description:\n\nBalance risk, opportunity, and financial returns in both pre- and post- contract commercial management.\nFocus on delivery excellence and in year performance (revenue, cash, and EBIT) as well as supporting growth in the market.\nPreparation and negotiation of subcontract/subconsultant contract documents and advising of appropriate procurement strategies\nAdministration of lump sum, target cost and re-measurable contracts, including calculation of quantities and unit rates in compliance with contractual guidelines.\nEstimation and producing BofQ’s in line with standard methods of measurement.\nDevelop monthly PSR (CVR) and associated commercial reports such as Earned Value Management (EVM).\nShape and deliver the commercial strategy on projects to maximise revenue and cash flow.\nInfluence change control, management of claims and disputes and provide clear and concise updates to project leads.\nInterpret contract programmes and schedules to identify associated risks and opportunities.\nProactively engaging and advising project teams on commercial risks and opportunities, including regular visibility across offices and sites, where teams are based.\nPromote compliance with the Company Management System (CMS) and all AtkinsRéalis procedures, uphold company values and promote safety culture.\nContribute to wider market and divisional requirements as they arise.\nManage expectations of stakeholders and conflicting business priorities, whilst delivering to challenging deadlines.\nQualifications/Experience:\n\nAppropriate Degree and/or member of (or working towards) appropriate professional body (e.g., MRICS, MCInstCES etc).\nRobust background of delivery in a commercial role from main contractor or consultancy in Transport, Water and Energy sectors.\nHighly skilled in contract management and change control.\nProficient in common Forms of Contract (particularly, experience in managing NEC & NEC PSC).\nAn aptitude for solving complex and extensive problems and challenges creatively.\nExcellent analytical skills and consistent attention to detail with the ability to solve complex problems and mitigate risks.\nExemplar verbal and written communication skills including reports, presenting and contractual correspondence.\nDemonstrable experience of managing others in commercial or project teams.\nFor more information, please contact Scarlet Wilson
